The Master of Draping Angelo Fair has unveiled his sixth couture collection, Painting the Moon, in an intimate showcase at Rue du Château d’Eau, nestled in Paris’ 10th arrondissement. This breathtaking collection pays homage to the interplay between art and mystery, drawing inspiration from the conspiracy theories surrounding the Apollo 12 moon mission.
Marrying avant-garde craftsmanship with ethereal beauty, Fair channels the creative essence of visionary artists rumored to have sent their works to the moon. His influences span from John Chamberlain’s sculptural mastery and Robert Rauschenberg’s bold collages to the haunting surrealism of Zdzislaw Beksinski and the futuristic brilliance of Jean Giraud (Moebius).
“Our goal was to capture the essence of art breaking free from earthly limits,” Fair shared, reflecting on the creative direction behind Painting the Moon.
This season’s silhouettes are a testament to Fair’s artistic depth and precision, honed through Savile Row tailoring and couture draping training in Paris.
Inspired by Chamberlain’s crushed automobile sculptures, Fair expertly manipulates muslin and paper tulle, crafting layered understructures through crumpling, pleating, and folding techniques.
These intricate foundations are then sculpted with luxurious silk organza, showcasing a technique unique to haute couture.

Angelo Fair, renowned as the Master Couture Draping, has built an impressive career working with prestigious couture houses across Paris, London, and New York.
His expertise in couture draping and tailoring stems from years of training with Savile Row tailors, haute couture ateliers, and luxury fashion brands.
Fair’s journey began with an apprenticeship at Museo Del Tessuto in Florence, where he mastered textile properties and historical garment techniques. He later trained at the L’École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, refining his skills in moulage and couture craftsmanship.
His experience includes collaborations with legendary couturiers, drawing inspiration from Madame Grès, Cristóbal Balenciaga, and Emanuel Ungaro. In 2021, he launched Angelo Fair Main de Maître, a couture house that merges artistic sensibility with technical mastery, solidifying his reputation as a visionary in modern couture
