Since 1982 Market Leaders in production of Fashion Content

In March 1982 the first magazine issue of CANALE MODA is published.
Unlike traditional magazines it is distributed on video tape.

A new exclusive editorial avant-garde project is born. Thanks to the filming of fashion shows and interviews with professional fashion experts  it becomes a capsule containing the best highlights of Milan’s and Paris fashion week.

Towards the end of the 80’s, as London Fashion Week first takes place, the format of the magazine is further developed, becoming a selected collection of Milan’s, Paris and London’s fashion weeks.

The first “special issues” with a focus on products such as evening dresses, knitwear, leather and fur, swimwear, menswear and wedding dresses are put together.


In 1992, ten years after its establishment the brand “Canale Moda” is recognized by the international market and is rebranded to “Fashion Channel.

In 1994, New York’s fashion shows are added to the video magazine’s portfolio.

Fashion Channel is the only content provider to partake in the launch of the three most prestigious fashion, event, luxury and lifestyle satellite networks in the world.

During its growth, Fashion Channel also provides and produces special video content for international magazines and important editorial groups.

 

From Satellite to Web

All our videos on YouTube, Dailymotion and Yahoo are constantly updated and have always the newest catalogue offer.

Fashion Channel’s library is one of the largest existing video fashion collections with more than 10.000 hours of content from the most important fashion capitals in the world.

At the end of  2010 in order to make the video archive more accessible, Fashion Channel makes an agreement with YouTube to publish approximately 30.000 videos of fashion shows and content from 1982 until today.

In February 2013 Fashion Channel launches its own Web TV on StreamIt platform and in a short time becomes a network leader for visibility thanks to the rich schedule and original format.

The immense archive is continuously updated with the most current and prestigious events in the world making us an ideal partner in the fashion and luxury sector.

From unique historical moments, backstage filming, interviews and fashion shows, our viewers are able in no time to find accurate information on all the newest trends and simultaneously fashion comparisons, analysis from past seasons etc.
