Sidiki Diabaté – Prince of the Kora
Sidiki Diabaté is a celebrated Malian singer, songwriter, and musician, widely recognized as a prominent figure in West African music.
Born on February 8, 1992, in Bamako, Mali, he comes from a renowned family of griots—traditional West African storytellers and musicians.
His father, Toumani Diabaté, is a Grammy-winning kora player, and Sidiki has continued the family’s musical legacy, blending traditional and modern sounds.
Sidiki first gained attention for his mastery of the kora, a 21-string African harp, and later transitioned into contemporary music, incorporating elements of Afrobeat, pop, and hip-hop.
